Application not working with http-profiles

hello,

our main company-application (java-based application on apache/tomcat-server, runs in browser) is behind an LTM (v14.1), has different ports (e.g 4420 ff).

in the near future I've got to implement APM for SingleSignOn, for this I need to activate a http-profile, but if I do this, the application doesn't work anymore.

Some portal-sites of this application running on port 80 or 443 are working with http-profiles.

Is there a way to get the VS with non-http standardports running with http-profiles or could you give me a way, how to and what to inspect to find out, how to get this work?

  • Is the traffic moving over the non-standard ports actually using HTTP? In general that is a requirement for APM.

I've run into Java applet based apps having issues with hardcoded hostnames, but that's only a guess at what could be causing your problem.
