APM VPE loggin to syslog
Hi,
I have all my APM logs go to a syslog server (HSL-logging) and it all works jst fine so far.
The issue I have right now is that I want to add some custom logging events in VPE (general purpose/logging), and have these loggin events sent to the same syslog as the other default logs. Can not get this to work, and wonder if I need to create an iRule event in VPE to be able to log to HSL??
I assume that someone has done this before and might shed some light on my issue.

so the normal stuff from /var/log/apm is going to syslog (HSL), but not the output from the logging events? it does show up in your /var/log/apm?

Hi,
That is correct. The normal log events from APM in /var/log/apm goes to syslog, but when I create a new logging in VPE I can't see the output anywhere.. Not in var/log/apm or in my syslog. The only logs that I now have in /log/apm is pretty much the RTU and ACE database download messages...

Hi!
Well, I got this working now. Actually do not know why it didn't work earlier since I do exactly the same thing now as I did before, but now I get all custom logs to my syslog server...
Will need to investigate that further! I'll get back to you when I know what the issue actually was.
Thanks for the help!
