APM Chrome/Firefox Client Side Checks

Hello everybody,

As the title mention, I have a question regarding browsers compatibility for Client Side Checks on Chrome and Firefox. This is my first post so please be patient with me :)

We are running a Clientless SSL VPN configuration with AD Authentication and OS Systems, Antivirus and Firewall checks in order to provide access to resources through Full Webtop. This works great with IE (after activex installation of course) but on Chrome and Firefox is not.

I found this article stating the ending support for Netscape plugin APIs on the browsers may be the cause of my problem ---- https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K15326

According to the article recommendations and I quote: "For customers who cannot upgrade their BIG-IP system, when the Netscape plugin APIs are no longer available in Chrome or Firefox, F5 recommends that customers host the BIG-IP Edge Client installer for their user base. The BIG-IP Edge Client is available through a BIG-IP APM access policy webtop link. Note: F5 recommends that you disable the Network Access Client link for the webtop."

Here is where I lose myself.

If BIG-IP Edge Client is hosted, shouldn't I configure a Network Access Profile to be used? If a Network Access is required, this access would cease to be clientless (even if the network access client link is disable for the webtop), which I don't want to.

At first, I thought BIG-IP Edge Client was just required to run client side checks, BUT I tested it and after login/client checks, it fails, which seems logical to me since no Network Access is attached ...

Could someone clarify me if clientless ssl vpn will be supported just with IE browser now? Is not possible to do clientless ssl vpn on chrome/firefox?

Thanks!

Andrés
