Apache Tomcat Configuration LTM
Hi all,
This is our first instance of Tomcat that will have been configured in our environment to server up a web page. The problem I am having is the F5 is not passing the traffic from the VIP listening on port 80 to the pool member configured on port 8080. I should be able to just put in http://website.com instead of having to put in http://website.com:8080 as the website will also be externally available. The current configurations is as follows:
VIP: devsite.atc.com 10.1.10.9 80 type: standard Poolmember: 10.1.10.10:8080
Any help would be appreciated

Port Translation on the virtual server should be enabled by default, so I'd check that first, to make sure it wasn't accidentally turned off. Otherwise, could there be redirect or embedded link that is forcing the connection to connect on 8080?

When you say the F5 isn't passing the traffic, what is it doing instead? Does the traffic get dropped? Is a TCP Reset issued?
What is the status of the Virtual Server and Pool? Is your tomcat server working correctly? Try a packet capture on your internal and external vlans and make sure the addresses and ports are being translated (or not translated) appropriately.
PS: This isn't related to Amazon, Access, Microsoft, or VMware so please remove those tags (if possible).
