antivirus protection using ASM

Hi,   Using ASM antivirus scan could cause application slow down issues. Has anyone experienced the issues?   If using default AV, which is Mcafee AV, do we need any licenses?   Any good d...

Add:

 

  1. the most performance impact will result of the AV scan. So, look at the performance stats of your AV system.
  2. if you have trouble with the file size (files bigger than 20mb are not supported with ICAP!), you need a AV proxy or use the strange new method of 11.4 instead of ICAP

    1. AV proxy (i.e McAfee Webgateway) - its not described anywhere, because it has nothing todo with f5 ;-) Here you install a proxy and setup this server as pool member instead of the original server. The original server will be configured as destination of the proxy. 2. the new method is the request adopt profile described by Focus. But I dont like this method, because of its design.
