Allow umlauts (German specific characters) on ASM

Hi, i'm trying to white list umlauts (ä ö ü ß) for parameter values on the ASM policy without disabling the Bare byte decoding in the policy. Does anyone know how this can be done?

The language is controlled by the encoding you select when you create the ASM policy. If you didn't pick a language you are using UTF-8. If I look at my allowed characters list under UTF-8, none of the German language characters are present, but if I create an ASM policy using the ISO-8859-1, the ß, ü, etc are all present.

 

I would verify with your web master that you are using the correct encoding before making any changes, but it is likely that you are simply using the incorrect encoding for the character set required.
