Adding pool members but setting different priority group value
Hi Guys,
I want to add additional 2 member nodes to an existing pool with 2 members. The priority group is not set for the existing members. I need to change this priority value for the existing to 20 and the new members to 10 as the new members will eventually replace the old members but just want the new members added already though they should be on an "inactive state" or doesn't participate on the lb round robin method. Will this change cause any downtime for connections on the existing members?
Thanks, Edward

As long as you set the priority of your existing two pool members to 20, then change the load balancing type to priority group activation, and then add the two new members with priority 10, no traffic should ever be directed at the two new members unless both priority 20 servers go offline.

Thanks for this Cory. Can you also advise if the changes I'll be doing on the active members (changing their priority) will cause active connections to terminate? - Cory_50405

Correct. You'll just be editing the two nodes and changing the priority from whatever it's set to currently (I think default is zero) to 20. This won't interrupt existing connections.
