Activesync advanced monitor failing after Exchange 2013 CU2 update

Hi Guys

I've got 2 sets of exchange 2013 servers. On one set I've recently applied CU2 and it looks to have caused a problem with the advanced monitor.

The monitor is sending the following string

GET /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync/ HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: mail.domain.com\r\n

and expecting the response

Supported

In the IIS log I see the following from the advanced monitor request.

2013-07-17 19:56:10 172.23.152.21 GET /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync/default.eas &cafeReqId=32e1b601-d4cb-4d39-9109-4dbe6004ae4a; 443 domain.com\f5.monitor 172.23.152.101 - - 500 0 0 20014

The standard monitor is recieving the correct response and if I remove the advanced monitor and replace it with a standard https one the pool member is fine.

The other set of Exchange 2013 CU1 servers are fine so I'm very sure its a problem introduced by CU2.

Anyone else experienced this and know a way to fix the monitor? it doesn't seem to have affected any of the other advanced monitors for other exchange web apps.

Hi Aaron, check out pages 44-45 of the deployment guide here: http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/microsoft-exchange2010-iapp-dg.pdf

This will be corrected in the next release of the iApp template.

    thanks
