Active/Active Configuration
I'm currently designing an Active/Active deployment for ASM (v11.4) where LTM will be placed in front of ASM and load balance connections to both active ASM instances.
I have created traffic-group-1 and traffic-group-2 on the ASM boxes, but I am confused on how to actually create resources and assign them to the traffic-groups. traffic-group-1 is currently active on ASM1, and traffic-group-2 is active on ASM2. When I deploy a new service, I will need to configure identical resources (VIPs) on both ASM1 and ASM1 (with different virtual addresses, obviously). The manual suggests that you use the iApp functionality which allows users to pick with traffic-group the "application" should be a part of. Is this the only way to handle this? Creating an iApp application for each service that I need to deploy seems somewhat overkill.
I also have a question regarding static and floating IPs for traffic-group-2. The manual discusses creating static/floating IPs for traffic-group-1, but nothing for traffic-group-2. Do I need to create static and floating IPs for traffic-group-2 as well?
Thanks!

floating selfip for traffic-group-2.
non-floating selfip for traffic-group-2 is not needed.
