Can I clarify - you are trying to use RSA authentication but you need to use AD credentials to map the user?

 

So you're not talking about autheticating the user to AD during logon?

Fetching a list of AD groups is generally not the best way to do things. Considering some organizations have thousands of AD groups and in addition have hundreds of nested groups. It can take a long time to respond.

 

 

Without looking at further details, it might be best to create a case and troubleshoot that way.

 

 

When you state the backup firepass, are you referring to a cluster or HA pair?

Talk about quick responses... It turned out to be the firewall trying to connect on the way back via the internet to our domain servers. Was never going to work. They are both standalone also, no clustering or HA used.
