Activating connection mirroring in HA VLAN

Hi mates,

 

Have some of you already turned on connection mirroring using the HA VLAN and competing with another VLANs in the same trunk? Did you have any bad experience?

    Hi WithF5

     

    No bad experience with doing that. Provided the HA Vlan is not used for application traffic, you are fine. But what do you mean competing with other vlans in the same trunk? Your HA link should not be bundled with application traffic trunk as earlier stated. but even at that, i don't think anything bad will happen.

    the best practice is to separate all this traffic. but i don't believe that directly something bad will happen, it is just that if there isn't enough bandwidth or delays become too large certain processes might suffer and bad things can happen.

     

    so if there is any chance try to follow the best practice.
