Nimbostratus4.5 to 9.04 irule conversion utility
My friendly neighborhood F5 sales folk indicated a conversion utility exists to convert 4.5 irules to 9.x TCL format. I was told it should work with simple rules. Anyone here know about this utility and where it might be found?
- He was referring to the OTCU program (One Time Conversion Utility), which, on a clean, freshly installed 9.0.x system, will convert a 4.5PTF04 or higher 4.5 configuration to a 9.0 configuration, including irules. In some instances, you may have to edit the resulting configuration in order to get it to load.
It requires that the 4.5 UCS be stored as /otcu.ucs and, again, should be run only on a clean, fresh installation. The release notes should give you further information. 
Michael_HunzikeCool. Thanks for the information. I'll need to edit the information anyway since I need to change the virtual servers to run next to the existing 4.5 system. We are testing 9.x to see if the stability has improved since the 9.0 release, which we found to be extrememly unstable. I've been told 9.04 is much better so we're ready to give it a go again.
