virtual ip address
3 TopicsIs an entire /24 network typically used for vIPs in an F5 deployment?
Hi all, I was wondering what the typical amount of IPs everyone allocates for vIPs in their F5 deployment was. The way I understand it, each Service Graph (Virtual Server) will use at least one virtual IP address. Is it standard practice to have all of your vIPs in one subnet on the F5? If I'm load balancing DNS, Web, Oracle, etc. all of those virtual servers use different IP addresses but they can all be on the same subnet, correct? Thanks all!Solved419Views0likes4CommentsEmpty Virtual Address List on ASM BIG-IP
Hi, What could be reason that no VIP is listed in Virtual Address List - I never seen something like that before. It's HA pair in Active-Active configuration with two Traffic Groups running on BIG-IP 2000 devices with 11.6.x TMOS licensed for ASM only. There is plenty of VS defined and when checking in TG - Objests I can see different VIPs in both TG. I can as well change TG for self IPs. But there is no way I can find to change it for VIPs - as there are no VIPs in the list. Is that something specific to ASM only license on BIG-IPs? Piotr319Views0likes4CommentsAPM New Virtual Server
Hey guys! Brand new to the F5 world. Wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. We have a HA pair that we are only doing APM on at the moment. We have a virtual server that runs our main access profile that that works perfectly. I wanted to add a second virtual server to use specifically for SAML purposes. I configured the Virtual server with an IP which I can ping and can see from our firewall I am accessing... But it returns no response page when I browse to it. It is configured very similar to our main Virtual Server. Is there anything I may be missing when a second VS is created? Any help would be awesome!230Views0likes3Comments
