While running Big-IP Edge Client, it's common that I can't use the continuity camera feature, which allows an iPhone to be used as external camera to a MacBook. It does not work for Apple's native FaceTime, nor Microsoft Teams. This was working fine with F5Access though. Is this a known issue? Can this be solved or worked around? I'm currently on latest iOS (17.3.1) and macOS (14.3.1), and the feature works well when not connect to the VPN. Thanks for any information or guidance. I sit down with F5 Solution Architect Paul Pindell to get an inside look at BIG-IP's native support for VMware's PCoIP protocol. He reviews the architecture, business value and gives a great demo on how to configure BIG-IP. BIG-IP APM offers full proxy support for PC-over-IP (PCoIP), a leading virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) protocol. F5 is the first to provide this functionality which allows organizations to simplify their VMware Horizon View architectures. Combining PCoIP proxy with the power of the BIG-IP platform delivers hardened security and increased scalability for end-user computing. In addition to PCoIP, F5 supports a number of other VDI solutions, giving customers flexibility in designing and deploying their network infrastructure. ps Related: F5 Friday: Simple, Scalable and Secure PCoIP for VMware Horizon View Solutions for VMware applications F5's YouTube Channel In 5 Minutes or Less Series (24 videos – over 2 hours of In 5 Fun) Inside Look Series Life@F5 Series Technorati Tags: vdi,PCoIP,VMware,Access,Applications,Infrastructure,Performance,Security,Virtualization, silva, video, inside look,big-ip,apm Connect with Peter: Connect with F5:359Views0likes0CommentsF5 + Blue Medora: Gain Control of Your Applications with vRealize

IT organizations have a simple goal: make it easy for workers to access all their work applications from any device. But that simple goal becomes complicated when new apps and old, legacy applications do not authenticate in the same way. In this Lightboard Lesson, I draw out how VMware and F5 helps remove these complexities and enable productive, any-device app access. By enabling secure SSO to Kerberos constrained delegation (KCD) and header-based authentication apps, VMware Workspace ONE and F5 BIG-IP APM help workers securely access all the apps they need—mobile, cloud and legacy—on any device anywhere. ps Related: Single Sign-On (SSO) to Legacy Apps Using BIG-IP & VMware Workspace ONE Simple & Secure Access to Legacy Enterprise Applications (pdf) Lightboard Lessons Playlist417Views0likes0CommentsBlog Roll 2015

Michael Koyfman, Sr. Global Security Solution Architect, shares the access challenges organizations face when deploying SaaS cloud applications. Syncing data stores to the cloud can be risky so organizations need to utilize their local directories and assert the user identity to the cloud. SAML is a standardized way of asserting trust and Michael explains how BIG-IP can act either as an identity provider or a service provider so users can securely access their workplace tools. Integration is key to solve common problems for successful and secure deployments. ps Related: Ask the Expert – Are WAFs Dead? Ask the Expert – Why SSL Everywhere? Corey Marshall, Security Solution Architect, explains why the browser is a new threat vector into an organization’s applications and infrastructure. This universal client can be the weakest link in the access chain and malicious characters are focusing on this as an avenue to steal information. Web fraud can be detrimental to both users and organizations alike and Corey explains some specific business scenarios along with F5 fraud protection services that can provide visibility into behavior anomalies and protect the client side against data leakage. ps Related: Ask the Expert – Are WAFs Dead? Kevin Stewart, Security Solution Architect, talks about the paradigm shift in the way we think about IT network services, particularly SSL and encryption. Gone are the days where clear text roams freely on the internal network and organizations are looking to bring SSL all the way to the application, which brings complexity. Kevin explains some of the challenges of encrypting all the way to the application and ways to solve this increasing trend. SSL is not just about protecting data in motion, it’s also about privacy. ps Related: Ask the Expert – Are WAFs Dead?
