Hello All We are looking to do solarwinds monitoring of F5 devices. We have enabled Sflow and SNMP monitoring. We can see few devices are discovered by NPM discovery but are not sending data through SFLOw. Ques 1--What IP address(management or self ip) to be used for adding /discovering in NPM. Ques2--As beginning v11.4 sflow is sent through self IPs do we need to separately add the F5 self ip in Netflow configuration of solrwinds. Or does it auto disvoer? My main concern is that what IP address to be added in Solarwinds to discover the deivce and get proper Sflow.657Views0likes4CommentsF5 Integration with Cisco Stealthwatch (Lacope) via IPFIX/SFLOW
Has anyone been able to integrate F5 with Cisco Stealthwatch (Lacope)? We are interested in collecting information about the client, virtual server and pool member IPs. I was trying this via an iRule for IPFIX, but ran into issues. Has anyone set this up with sflow as well? If you have any alternatives for logging this SNAT information via a different means, that would be helpful as well.442Views0likes0CommentssFlow and Route Domains
Hi there, I'm aware that sFlow traffic is not possible via the mgmt-interface. That's fine in general, but we have one cluster using Route Domains. The Common Route Domain is only be used with an access VLAN (point-2-point Connection between the two LB cluster-nodes, no other L3 device in that VLAN) for heartbeat and sync traffic. It's intended to route sFlow traffic via a transfer VLAN in Route Domain 1. Is this possible at all and if yes, how? Or can I easily configure the sFlow Receiver in the context of Route Domain 1 (didn't try this so far)? Or do we have to re-think our sFlow design? Thanks for your help! Ciao Stefan :)421Views0likes3CommentsIs anyone using the sflow feature to monitor LTM traffic?
We're trying to test the sflow configuration on several 11.5.1 and 11.6.0 boxes but so far we've had no progress. After we setup the Receiver IP address we don't see any traffic going out from the box to the receiver destination. We've also tried adding a static route for the destination to the management interface but it's made no difference. Is anyone using this feature or has at least successfully tested it?342Views0likes2Comments
