I am using an HA pair of F5 Big-Ip 3900's on version 11.3 build 3144.0 HF8. I was working in the GUI and noticed that when trying to go to the Local Traffic/Network Map the view had changed to "Local Traffic Summary" and will not go to the map unless clicking on the "Show Map" button. I made sure that under system/preferences/start screen it was still set to "Network Map", and it was... I have even changed the preferences to something else, which worked ok, but when I went back to the preferences setting of "Network Map" and you hit the RED F5 ball in the upper left corner of the GUI it still goes to the "Local Traffic Summary". does anyone know where this might be found in a config file in the command line environment? it's getting really frustrating..1KViews0likes15CommentsiControl LTM network map/f5 status GUI web page?
Hello, The company I work for currently relies on a homegrown Linux app that queries SNMP MIB's and compiles them somehow into a java based GUI web page (effectively emulating the f5 network map if you log in). Well we upgraded to 11.2.1 on one of our LTM pairs in production, did DR testing today, and discovered that all the SNMP MIBs were updated in 11.2.0 effectively breaking our internal f5 status page.. Does anyone have any pre-built PHP/powershell/whatever code built that A) inputs all the data the network map has and most importantly B) builds it into a webpage similarly to the network map when you log in (all GUI with green/red/black symbols for VS/pool/node status)? We need to get off SNMP and migrate to iControl, but outputting data to a terminal shell will not help the NOC or any of our ops guys seeking a centralized/visual representation of the f5 LTM's VS/pool/node health. Any help would be appreciated. Thx!532Views0likes5CommentsLTM Network Map: Show port number when hovering over
I am a huge fan of the LTM Network Map view. I love the way it lays everything out (VS, pool, members:port, iRules, etc.). However, there is one thing that is missing. When you hover over the VS name it does not list the port. It lists the destination address and partition, but not the port. Hiss. Does anyone know why? Is there a reason? I know you can include the port in the VS name, but that is not how my current company did/does their naming convention. Is there a place where I can recommend this (feed back)?249Views0likes3Comments
