Hi, after pasting the dossier to https://activate.f5.com/license/license.do I get this reply: Unable to grant license key: Error 51092, This license has already been activated on a different unit. Please contact technical support for assistance I had to reinstall the loadbalancer, since I got the underlying linux in such a state that it would not boot. I had naturally tried the license registration, but the phone home function was not working at that point. how can we fix this licensing issue? ilari1KViews0likes3CommentsAuthentication behind F5 LineRate issue.
Hello everyone, We are testing F5 Linerate as a LB solution for 2 of our core applications and found when we authenticate on the application directly the AD users are able to login without problems. However, when we try to authenticate to the application server using the URL with the hostname in F5 I got our application asking for the Active Directory credentials (same as we use login directly) but it keeps asking for credentials and fails after three times with an IIS 401 error which does not occur when authenticate directly to the application server without F5. Any idea what are we missing to be able to authenticate to the application behind the F5 LineRate? Thanks in advance for any help, Elio Diaz876Views0likes6CommentsLoad balancer help setup needed
Hi, Im very new to LineRate (discovered it this morning) and I am trying to load balance between 2 Windows 2012 servers with web addresses. Its actually got IBMs Integration Broker on each and they listen on I have set up the Linerate device in our VMware environment. The device and the 2 servers are on the same subnet. I then do an xml POST to each individually and get a timestamp back. Then when I try to post to the Virtual IP I get xml rubbish back. What I cant figure out is I have set the real server addresses and ports to 7800. But how does it know to go to PS all looks good in the gui. All looks online. Any help greatly appreciated... I just put version 12 onto a lab F5 to look at, and I'm noticing a bunch of iRules LX (language extensions) features that seem to be added. They seem to include node.js as part of iRules. I don't see these language extension features referenced in the release notes anywhere though. Can anyone explain what these are and how one would use them? Is this another language to write iRules in? If someone could point me to whatever documentation exists it would be most appreciated. Hi, I am working in an environment that uses an F5 load balancer in production, and would like something that is software based that I can set up in my dev environment (currently all actual workstations are iMac machines, and web servers are IIS in guest OS (guest OS is Windows Server) therefore I would like to install an appliance on the same Mac that hosts all our Parallels VM’s, and have the load balancer forward requests to VM’s. Any recommendations? I’ve already tried converting LineRite package using VMWare OVFTool, but results in a bad VMX image that will no import it into parallels (dies at boot prompt so assume something disk related. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Mark.774Views0likes6CommentsWhere are the LineRate REST API docs located?
At some point in the last 6 months, the LineRate documentation was moved from http://docs.lineratesystems.com/ to https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/linerate/, but the REST API documentation seems to be missing. The monitoring endpoints can be found in the Administrators guide, but I don't see the configuration REST API docs at all. Where can I find this?763Views0likes4Comments
