device backup
3 TopicsCrontab for backups - Entries not running
Trying to configure a cron-based daily backup for a vCMP guest, running v13.1.1. As root, using crontab -e, I've added the following lines: 27 8 * * * /usr/bin/tmsh save sys ucs config1.ucs 29 8 * * * /usr/bin/scp /var/local/ucs/config1.ucs user@server:/backups/config1.ucs After exiting, I've verified the changes have saved. Logs reflect that a change has been made. These jobs never happen based on the timestamp of the backup not changing, nor is either job recorded in the logs. I can manually run the same command, and they work successfully. Any help is appreciated.Solved1.7KViews0likes22CommentsAutomated F5 backups
Hello All, I would like to automate backup of UCS on our LTMs and GTMs and would like to avoid using IAPP. Is there anyway I can use F5 - Python SDK to generate UCS and move the UCS to a remote server for backup? Please also let me know if RESTAPI can be also used to accomplish this. Please advise.427Views0likes1CommentComplete F5 Automated Backup Solution / f5.automated_backup.v2.0.tmpl
Hi tried the iApp, very nice. I've seen it's not possible to create multiple AppServices using the template. If we try we get an error refering to the iCall object. I beleive it's because the iCall object name is hardcoded ("f5.automated_backup-handler"). Anyone performed a change in the iApp to allow such deployment? If so, could you share the modification please? Thanks Alex401Views0likes4Comments
