Syn-Flood protection in F5 LTM BIG-IP 17.1.1.3
HI Guys Sorry maybe i have not been so clear. I've ben searching for information about syn-flood protection of f5 LTM. I know there is the this feature (i saw the command on the CLI "syn-flood protection not active) but i could not find many information. I searched in the : techdocs.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/bigip-system-syn-flood-attacks-13-0-0/1.html page but it seems all these pages of f5.com are no longer there. How to test AFM DDOS prevention?
Hi all, I want to implement DDOS prevention in my lab like this (FirewallF5------------internet---------Attacker PC) I follow this manual: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip-afm/manuals/product/dos-firewall-implementations-13-1-0/6.html Create DoS profile (prevent TCP SYN and ICMPv4 flood) Assign DoS profile to Virtual Server (named Internet) Create Logging profile Assign Logging profile to Virtual Server After configuring I test by using hping3 on AttackerPC to flood but when I view DoS profile history, it shows no packet droped. So please help me how to test DDOS after my configuring and how to view the result of testing is OK or not? (My F5 is VE 13.1.1) Tks in advance.
