I know I have this somewhere in my notes, but can't find it (it's like trying to find something in a cluttered garage sometimes)... What is the command to console into a vcmp guest from a host (for example, a 7200 chassis)? This would be handy in the event an upgrade on a vcmp guest was taking longer than expected and I wanted to see what was going on, where it was in the boot process, etc. Thanks!Solved1.3KViews0likes1CommentActive serial console on Viprion chassis with two blades
Hi there, I got a Viprion 2400 chassis with two 2150 blades in slots 1 and 2. I've connected the console ports of both blades to my console server but I'm getting confused with how the consoles are working. I'd expect to get login (or AOM access) on both consoles or at least in the console of the blade that has the role of master in the cluster, but I only get the blade 2 console even the blade in slot 1 is the master. I've tried to disable slot 2 and I'm still getting console on this physical connection and the console of blade in slot 1 is completely dead. I can't get login nor AOM access through it. I don't understand how console access works when you have a cluster with more than a blade in a chassis. Which console is active? Can't I have both consoles actives? We converted our remote console access devices from Cyclades (which worked great) to Raritan Dominion SX II systems and I can't get many of the LTMs to work properly. I have a Viprion 2400 pair and a 6900 pair working fine, but our 8900, 3600 and 1600's won't stay connected. I get garbage on the screen and can't get any proper response on the console. All console settings are default (19200 8,N,1). Anyone seen this before or have any ideas on a solution? Thanks.317Views0likes1CommentConfigure console access banner
Hi, I would like to configure a banner for the console access as for GUI or CLI. I could find how to create the banner for http(s) access and also for ssh, but I can't find the same for console access. I see also that there is an option to display a message after the login, but not before. Do you know if this configuration exists on F5? Thank you,300Views0likes2Comments
