Problem this snippet solves: Overview This is a script which will generate a report of the BIG-IP LTM configuration on all your load balancers making it easy to find information and get a comprehensive overview of virtual servers and pools connected to them. This information is used to relay information to NOC and developers to give them insight in where things are located and to be able to plan patching and deploys. I also use it myself as a quick way get information or gather data used as a foundation for RFC's, ie get a list of all external virtual servers without compression profiles. The script has been running on 13 pairs of load balancers, indexing over 1200 virtual servers for several years now and the report is widely used across the company and by many companies and governments across the world. It's easy to setup and use and only requires auditor (read-only) permissions on your devices. Problem this snippet solves: I decided to share this Irule for different reasons. When I help our community on devcentral, I regularly see people making recurring requests: How do I do to capture the queries header. How do I do to capture the response header. How do I check the information in the POST Request. How do I check response data (body). What cypher/protocol I use (SSL/TLS). I set up client certificate authentication but I do not know if it works and if I pass my certificate auth. I want to retrieve information from my authentication certificate (subject, issuer, …). My authenticating by certificate does not work and I get an error of what I have to do. I have latencies when dealing with my request. where does the latency come from (F5, server,..). I set up sso (kerberos delegation, json post, Form sso). I do not feel that my request is sent to the backend (or the kerberos token). Does F5 add information or modify the request/response. Problem this snippet solves: iRule that helps to mitigate the Log4j vulnerability with use of public available IOCs. Currently the following IOCs can be used: cert-agid.gov.it (Contains scan IP's): https://cert-agid.gov.it/download/log4shell-iocs.txt NLD Police: https://thanksforallthefish.nl/log4j_blocklist.txt These IOCs combined will result in about 25191 IP addresses being blocked. Problem this snippet solves: I successfully was able to manually build a monitor outside of the iApp for Citrix Storefront deployment, that is a little more complex than the original one. How to use this snippet: Just copy and past this into your send string for your monitor. There are a few things that will have to be adjusted, such as the host, the username, and password, and content-length. To find the proper content length, plug in your information that is necessary. Then take the characters between the '<?xml version' and '</NFuseProtocol>' and past them into a text editor. Remove all escape characters such as "\". Highlight the string and if your text editor has the option, it will show you the character count that you selected. This is your new content-length. If the code is executed correctly you will see a list of published Apps, such as Notepad. If you wanted to have a monitor that didn't pass the username and password in clear text, you will need to do so in an external monitor. In my use case, the user permissions were locked down just enough to make the monitor work and that is all. For every client ssl profile that's there, it will pull its ciphers suite & if the client-ssl profile is referenced in any of the virtuals that's present, if the same clientssl profile is referenced in multiple places, the same will be captured as well. This code can be modified to serverssl profile and same can be captured vice-versa. How to use this snippet: Have to create a script file first. We shall use the /var/tmp/ directory.
