DDoS in the Middle East

Hacker groups reported located in Saudi Arabia and Israel have been reported trading electronic blows,  recently DDoS’ing stock exchanges in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi

This again sheds light on a  tough issue. In the electronic frontier,  it can be near impossible to determine the real source of an attack. Are these just patriotic hacker groups having a bit-powered brawl?

Or is it possible that they are state sponsored electronic soldiers performing specifically targeted operations?

Or maybe I’ve just got a wild imagination.
