We are on Version 13 on our LTMs [5050 physical boxes] and Version 12.1.1 on the GTMs [Virtual Edition Machines]. Looking to the last thing you said, Am I right to say that:

 

  • For the LTM boxes [V13] and with the documentation going up to V12 for NTP configuration, better not to configure them as NTP Servers
  • We can do it on the GTMs [VE on Version 12.1.1], but is this the best practices??
  • Or better to Load balance external NTP Servers [Stratum 0 OR Stratum 1] on our Load balancers [LTMs 5050 boxes]?
