Hi Tom,
Sorry about any confusion I created on the out-of-path dedupe, I am just careful not to confuse people about de-dupe in WAN Optimization products (that is very temporary and on-the-fly) versus the more permanent storage de-duplication. I'm aware of Albireo and it's ilk, just was focused on differentiating elsewhere - comes with the job.
