I confirmed; firstly, it is not mandatory to stay at Fontainebleau and also that the $1,600 total for four nights is the AppWorld discount we secured for attendees, (including resort fees and taxes I understand this is on par with other LV properties that time of year?).
We recommend staying there for the convenience of being right at the event but if you choose to stay somewhere else, there isn't any F5 provided transportation. Unless you have a great price somewhere specific, any savings *could be* eaten up by travel expenses.Hope that helps!
