Windows Logon Integration

I am trying to figure out how to make the FirePass a node on the network. I connected a network cable from the LAN port on the FirePass to my Intranet. I installed the Windows Logon integration client on the laptop. I log in using dial up networking and authenticate with Secure ID. I am not getting an IP address that is on my internal LAN although I configured the FirePass to. Any suggestions?
  • Hi,

How is your FirePass configured? What version of code is it running? Basically what i do to get this working is install the latest code on your FirePass (so it caters for Vista, etc) which is 6.0.2 with HF-602-5 (hotfix package). Then setup a Network Access resource group which is bound to your Master Group using RSA authentication. Then from the Device Management : Client Downloads : Windows (x86) page i do a select of all components -> Update -> Customize the settings you need -> Update -> Download and install the MSI file. Once you've done this make sure you can authenticate okay using the standalone client and can access your SSL VPN. Then try again using Windows Logon Integration (GINA).

A small tip you may want to try is in the Customize tab of the client downloads i generally un-tick the option that says "Use Legacy Logon Mode". Don't know why it's ticked by default cause if it's enabled you can't use prelogon checks, post-logon actions, etc.

    Hope this helps you out!
