Jun 01, 2007Where is the cached content stored?
I would like to know where will the Webaccelerator stored the Cached content(Ram first, then Harddisk?) Can I have the control of the storage location? Where is the parameter being configured?

- On a first request the content is written to disk, after the second request it is pinned in RAM cache. When a client requests content it will be delivered as follows:
1st request - Proxied to origin web server written to disk cache
2nd request - Served from disk cache- written to RAM cahe
3rd request - Served from RAM cache.
This is not a configurable option. - YoYo_111375

Thanks for your prompt reply
Followup question:
1. How large is the RAM and disk allocated for the Caching purpose? is it configurable?
2. what happen when the RAM cache is full? how does the web accelerator select overwrite which the exisiting cached object? Can I configure priority so that some cached object will not be overwritten with other new object? - Joseph_Hicks_36

Sharon,
This sounds like you have site specific questions. You should chat with someone at F5 who can do an interactive architectural session. Are you already working with someone at F5?
Thanks,
Joe
