when to use http profile in f5 vip
Hi Everyone,
Hope you all are doing good.
I have a HTTPS VIP (10.43.12.156 :443) with SSL Profile (Client). But HTTP profile is selected to NONE. Can you please help me in understanding when to use http profile in f5 vip. While selecting NONE in this case will break the traffic ?

You don’t require http profile if you don’t want to check protocol, if you don’t want to manage http uri or header checks, if you don’t want to add headers, if you don’t want to enable per request features (oneconnect for example), if you don’t want to enable http based modules (ASM, APM), if you don’t want to use cookie persistence, ...

Hi,
HTTP profile to None wouldn' break the traffic.
When http profile to use? if you want to manage http traffic like inspect XFF headers or enable Application Security Policy, HTTP Compression Profile, and Web Acceleration Profile.
