when i add new members to pool (unknown enabled node address does not have service checking enabled)
I know the thread is old, but I was able to fix this issue today by adding a default monitor to the nodes in BigIP LTM v 11.6:
In the console, browse to: Local Traffic > Nodes > Default Monitor
In the "Health Monitors", I moved "icmp" from the "_Available" column to the "Active" column.
Click "_Update_"
The Nodes in the Node List turned from blue to green.

You can enable icmp as a default check for each node. I ran into this issue a while back when integrating our NMS. It would always mark the nodes as indicator blue due to individual nodes not responding to icmp. This article should help you enable this by default.
Due note however, that this being enabled.. if the host doesn't respond to ping it will mark this as a health monitor. So if all you're doing is pinging the node, then it may go down. I usually have custom health monitors on top of ICMP.
