What ip address to use as Listener for Big IP GTM
Dear Experts,
- Godaddy used to resolve name resolution
- Name Server ip on Godaddy for domain resolves names to ip address of 196.2XX.XXX.XXX(public ip)
- Self ip of one arm GTM appliance is 10.1.1.1(Private IP)
- FLOW OF TRAFFIC INTERNALLY; EDGE ROUTER TO GTM APPLIANCE
- GTM and LTM are on two different appliances
Please advise on what ip address to use as the listener and permissions we need to create on the network to ensure traffic gets to the listener.
Thank you.

Well, it entirely depends on whether you are NATting the external addresses to your internal network space.

Yes, Simon.
I had recommend they do a NAT the public ip from GoDaddy to the internal Self iP of the GTM on port 53 for UDP and TCP.
However, they insisted that there isnt a need for NAT as the internal self IP of the GTM knows how to reach the internet and that should be enough.
Please confirm that the NATting i described is Best Practice for this scenario.
