Jul 26, 2010What does a Wide IP Zone look like
I'm knew to GTM, but have a solid BIND background ...
I read that once you create a Wide IP, a wide IP zone will be created automatically, just wonder what a typical wide IP Zone look like?
Is that ...

Hi juwusuo,
A Wide IP in GTM doesn't have a "zone" in the sense that BIND would. GTM runs on top of BIND and answers DNS requests dynamically. The Wide IP is an FQDN that has a pool associated with it that contains members that are balanced or preferentially selected based on the pool's configuration. If you have access to GTM, you can look at the syntax of the wideip.conf file by SSHing to the GTM and viewing /config/gtm/wideip.conf. Does this help?
