Weighted Least Connections Loadbalancing method is not working as configured.

The device is Big-IP 8900 with the CMP function enabled to its corresponding virtual servers. We currently have a pool with 11 members that we're using "Weighted Least Connections (node)" to load balance. Each node is configured only to its corresponding data pool. The individual nodes have been configured to the connection lists as shown below, but it appears that load balancing is not working as configured. If the CMP functions are effecting the load balancing done by the TMMs and throwing off the ratios, is there a command to check the virtual server connections of the individual TMM ?

  • what exactly is not working? when i look at your settings and the statistics i would be quite pleased, you see the values that match the 3 types of the nodes you configured.
  • is there a command to check the virtual server connections of the individual TMM ?

i do not think there is. "tmsh show sys tmm-traffic" and "tmctl tmm_stat" show statistics per tmm but it is not per virtual server.

anyway, if you want to count number of connections, you may use stats profile or istats irule command.

    just my 2 cents.
