Cirrostratuswebsite issue with HA bigip
i am running bigip as HA , and both in sync , same software version and hosting same website . when the active is running the website is not working and i tried to refresh then it working fine ten again not working it .. i tried to failover and move the traffic to the passive then the website working fine with no issues and it's running as expected.
what might be the issue ? the sync is running as expected ..?
BrandonThere really isn't enough info here. Is this a new setup? Has it ever worked? Start at Layer 2 from how your F5 connects to network. When you are on primary box that isnt working . Run TCP dumps to verify traffic is making it inbound to the F5.
If you have health check monitors applied to the pools, verify on both the active and standby BIG-IP units that the results of the health checks match. If it doesn't match (e.g. health monitors passing on active unit but failing on current standby unit), it could mean that the corresponding non-floating self IP of one of the BIG-IP devices is getting blocked from sending health check probes to the pool member(s), so check that you don't have a firewall blocking this communication.
