Web Server Monitors
While studying for my 101 exam I came across the question below. I can't find anything about Web server monitoring. Can someone help me?
A site is load balancing to a pool of web servers. Which statement is true concerning BIG- IP's ability to verify whether the web servers are functioning properly or not?
My answer: C. Web server monitors can test whether the server's address is reachable, but cannot test a page's content.
Their answer: A. Web server monitors can test the content of any page on the server.
You can find this information in the LTM-DNS Operations Guide on page 18 and 19:
HTTP receive strings are matched against both HTTP content (for example, HTML, JSON, or plain text) and the HTTP headers.
So, yes page content can be test.
