Hi,
I'd like to know how to generate Web analytics (number of hits, files, pages, visits, sites, kbytes) with a Big-IP ASM 9.4.5 ?
In particular :
- Where are the default log files for such data ?
- Do I have to create some iRules to generate such log ?
- Can I use Sawmill for log analysis ?
- Do I have to use a specific log analyser ?
Thanks (and sorry to interfere).
- James_Quinby_46Historic F5 AccountDo you use Splunk at all? They released some very interesting F5-specific plugins for FP and ASM:

You can use an iRule and statistics profile to generate the type of statistics you're looking for. You can send the events to a remote server or you could use SNMP to poll LTM for the metrics. You can search these forums and the iRule Codeshare for "stats profile" or "statistics profile" for details. - James_Quinby_46Historic F5 AccountI just saw F5 in the list of supported log formats, but I imagine that they're just talking about the standard syslog messages. It looks flexible enough to accommodate whatever you want to throw at it.
