We are deploying a Bigip 5200v with ASM
Our current design we have Sourcefire IPS appliances inline between the LTM and the internal firewall on the switch fabric. Our current direction is to only deploy the ASM on the outside of the vip, but could the ASM eliminate the need for the Sourcefire IPS on internal backend host side of the F5?
We have the Sourcefires set to only alert and do not block. I would think that the ASM could eliminate the Sourcefire functionality.
