wanted to incorporate access policy for MFA with Domain A but my AD/ MFA servers are in Domain B , will that work ?

wanted to incorporate access policy for MFA with Domain A but my AD/ MFA servers are in Domain B , will that work ? I wanted to establish Multifactor Authentication application which resides in Domain "A" but my MFA ( Microsoft MFA on prim servers ) are belongs to domain "B" , will this set up work ?
