WAN Acelaration software version recommend

Hi, We need to configure wan acelaration between one Big-IP 2200s with AAM and one Big-IP 3600 with WOM, what is the best software version to install in both Big-IPs?   Regards, MC

Hi,

 

BIG-IP 3600 (4GB RAM) can only handle AAM Standalone (A.K.A Dedicated). The same for BIG-IP 2000s (8GB RAM) where AAM cannot be provisioned with any other module; AAM can only be provisioned standalone. There is a special thing with AAM 'cause it's one of the most demanding modules of the BIG-IP family.

 

So if you really want to use both LTM + WOM you must use v11.3 for both BIG-IP 3600 and BIG-IP 2000s. In this scenario the only way that you can use AAM it's in a Dedicated mode.
