WAF Sizing

Hi,Could someone guide me what are the factors to be considered while sizing a WAF(Physical & Virtual Editions) to a customer.   Regards Sriram

    Hi,

     

    Below datasheet of F5 appliances.

    You should ask your customer for:

     

    • Required throughput. It is a WAF so L7 throughput.
    • Expected number of concurrent connections.
    • Expected number of new connections per second.
    • If SSL is needed the expected number of TPS (Transaction per Second).

    And of course the required physical ports and speed. Copper? Fiber? 1GB or 10GB.
