VS responding to ICMP when all pool members are down.
We have BIG-IP 11.5.2. If all pool members are down VS is still responding to ICMP preventing dynamic fail over. Do you have any solution or maybe iRule to solve this problem. Any idea when this bug will get fixed?

Krys,
This is controlled by the virtual address, not the virtual server and its state, so your symptoms are to be expected.
Two articles to bring to your attention, in case you haven't seen them. The first one is how to selectively control responses to pings, and the second has an interesting workaround from Hoolio on how to automate this (caveat, would need testing first). See if they help.

Thanks Nathan. This solution works only if the health check will failed for all pool members. If I try to disable all pool members the VS is still responding to ICMP. Looks like this is related to 'Bug 414380'. Any ETA to fix this?

i thought bug 414380 was fixed in 11.5.1 and 11.5.2 as per the first link i sent. Admittedly the second post responds to failed health monintor, nothing in the var/log/ltm when all pool members are down i'm afraid. what about if you disable ICMP echo on the virtual address?

Unfortunately I need ICMP enable, We have Cisco GSS checking our VIPs (VS). Based on the result of the health check GSS will give a correct VS address (active).
