VPN prevents Apple's continuity camera
henriquemattos Hello are you still experiencing this issue. I found some things for you to look into that may help resolve this if not.
Compare VPN Configurations: Since F5Access works and Big-IP Edge Client does not, compare the configuration settings between the two VPN clients. Look for differences in security policies, tunneling options, or network settings that might affect the Continuity Camera functionality.
Check for Application-Level Settings: Ensure that both FaceTime and Microsoft Teams are allowed to use the Continuity Camera when connected through the VPN. Sometimes, VPN clients can restrict specific applications or services.
Network Traffic Inspection: Some VPN clients have more aggressive traffic inspection and filtering, which can block certain protocols used by continuity features. Check if the Big-IP Edge Client has options to modify or disable this inspection.
Split Tunneling Configuration: If the Big-IP Edge Client supports split tunneling, configure it to allow traffic for the Continuity Camera feature to bypass the VPN. This can help maintain the feature's functionality while still using the VPN for other traffic.
Consult Documentation and Support: Review the official documentation for the Big-IP Edge Client for any known issues or configuration tips related to peripheral devices and continuity features. You can also reach out to F5 Networks support for more specific guidance or to report the issue.
Profile and Policy Adjustments: If your VPN configuration is managed by an IT department, consult with them to see if there are specific profiles or policies that might be adjusted to allow the Continuity Camera feature to work. They might be able to make exceptions or modifications to the security settings to accommodate this use case.
