VMware View support for F5

Hi I've just been approached by one of our development people who wantede to know if the Firepass suppport VMWare view in a similar way to OWA?

VMWare view is for remote desktop application which is relitivly new to market and currently we don't as yet have a Dev server available to start looking at how the Firepass could be configered to interface with this software

Are there any config guides or similar availabel on the F5 / other sites the http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/f5-vmware-dg.pdf document doesn't appear to cover this from a Firepass prospective.

Regards

Chris
  • update,

This appears to work by opening a static application tunnel with the following ports open: 80,443,3389,4001,8009, the last 2 ports may not be required but this works.

Mike - sounds interesting! I'd like to chat with you for a few mins about your test plan. I'm at p dot delamotte at f5 dotcom.

Starting with Firepass version 7, vmware view is officially supported. It will automatically open up an Application Tunnel, pretty much the same way that other Terminal Services features work.
