Virtual Server check in an iRule

Hi, I'm looking to check the status of a different virtual server from within an irule before I direct traffic to it using the virtual command.

 

I would like to be able to disable the virtual server rather than all of the nodes in the server pool behind it.

    This condition an be achieved through iApp. There is no provision to call 

    TMSH
    command through iRule(for enable or disable).
