virtual server and icmp

hi all,

 

 

is there a way to make the virtual server stop responding to icmp request when it's pool is down/offline

 

the VS is listening on port 80 and responds to icmp requests

    Hi player,

     

     

    The answer is no. The virtual server address on the LTM will continue to respond to pings even after all of its pool members have been marked down. When you ping a virtual address, it is the LTM that is responding, not the individual pool member(s). Hope this helps.
