Virtual Server & Self IP's on the same IP subnet

Hi Everyone,   Is it must that the Virtual Server be on the same IP subnet as the Self IP of the unit?   Regards,

Hi Vitaliy,

 

I agree with you to add the host route as you have wonderfully shown in the above example but what is my concern is that will F5 work as a later-3 device to relay to packets coming to Self IP-10.10.10.1 to VIP IP-10.10.20.1 and how will it do that coz we have separated the two on the VLAN level which is layer-2.
