Virtual Server - Type Forwarding IP
The customer has set up a virtual server IP Forwarding using type similar to a target router a network mask 24. However they would like to stay with the virtual server connections open only when the connection between the F5 and servers were connected. There is a possibility in the forwarding mode Ip monitor connections and starting the virtual server that you have open or closed ports?

do you mean customer wants virtual server to be active only when server port is opened?
if yes, can you use performance layer 4 virtual server (instead of ip forwarding virtual server) and use server as a pool? on the pool, you assign health monitor to check the server port.
- Rodrigo_N_SoareNimbostratusThank you very much for your help, I also do not really can not see any way that is not monitoring a pool of active ports.
- nitass_89166Noctilucenti am sorry i do not get you. can you explain a bit more? what can't you do?
- Rodrigo_N_SoareNimbostratussorry I meant que I can not imagine otherwise without putting the pool to monitor Whether the ports are active. That is how you indicated only using type layer 4 with pool.
