ver 9.4.8 Connection Mirroring

Hi,

 

 

I'm having a problmem on how to make the connection mirroring work with our Big IP.

 

 

Our Platform is a 1600 Big IP LTM with software version 9.4.8, Active-Standby Redundancy.

 

We already had a tick on the checkbox for Connection Mirroring, a vlan for each interface, self-ips already set, a pair for network failover ip address and a pair for connection mirroring ip address.

 

 

Network failover works fine over udp port 1026, the problem is connection mirroring seems not working...

 

 

Tried to make use of the connection mirror ip for configuration synchronization and its working fine, but tried to listen on same port for connection mirroring, it does'nt send any message to the standby machine over port 1028.

 

Are there any other ports used for connection mirroring? Or are there any other configuration that has to be done?

    Hello Ritchel,

     

     

    the first thing to check is to make sure that NEW connections are hitting the Virtual Server, or there won't be anything to mirror. Potentially the easiest way to test this sort of thing is using persistence mirroring (sure it's not exactly the same thing but runs over the same port). Use an SSH VS for example, turn on persistence mirroring then connect to the virtual server. Force the Active unit to Standby and check your SSH connection remains open and to the same server.
