"I configured an outside, inside and sync vlan/trunk/IP address on the vCMP host and assigned them to the LTM guest" - you only need to configure a trunk and vlans on the vCMP host, and assign the VLANs to the vCMP guest as you mention. Then, on the vCMP guest you simply assign a self IP address to the VLANs, no need to check VLAN or Interface configurations.
