Use partition as a template for new partitions
Hi,
Is there an easy way to effectively copy everything from an existing partition to a new one? I'd like to keep partitions and templates and use them to quickly set up new partitions for testing. Then entirely delete those partitions once their usefulness has finished.

From version 11.x , every time you create a partition it creates a relevant folder location too, as follows: /config/partitions//
Within this folder will be its own bigip.conf and bigip_base.conf files. In theory you could move these to the new partition folder, amend as necessary and then save the config (tmsh save sys config).
Hope this helps,

Hello, objects moving from partition are available for LTM in 11.6. http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/bigip-system-folders-administration-11-6-0/2.html?sr=40205273 copy is not really available for all objects as some of them are tied to IP information.
