TXT record

Hi, I am using zone runner to create a TXT record in GTM. I was given xyz.com to use for the record name . Can I use the xyz.com under zone(abc.com), as the final record name becomes xyz.com.abc.com...

Per Brad, if you want xyz.com to be xyz.com.abc.com then leave out the trailing dot. If you want xyz.com to remain as such but available from abc.com the the record would be xyz.com.

 

xyz.com = xyz.com.abc.com xyz.com. = xyz.com (but available for resolution within abc.com zone)

 

However, are you doing a descriptive text as:

 

TxT"This is a text record for xyc.com"

 

Or are you doing another record whose values are text-based like SPF?
